Sometimes we end up stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we just feel comfortable. Sometimes we have difficulty seeing the way forward. Whenever we are in these spaces, it can be so hard to say good bye.
Did you know that 74% of people report feeling stuck in at least one area of their lives, whether it’s their career, relationships, or personal growth? And for women of color, this number can be even higher due to systemic barriers and the “double shift” of balancing work and home life.
I have found, on the other side of evertime I found myself stuck, I had blessings waiting for me. Pushing past the fear to action helped me to feel better. I heard a statistic recently that said 85% of those who take intentional steps to change their situation report feeling more fulfilled and less stuck within six months. So perhaps the thing to do is to take step one today. Yes you have to do it afraid and messy, but in the end taking the action is the only thing that will bring the reward.
So, how do you start? First, identify what’s keeping you stuck. Is it fear? Comfort? Guilt? Once you know, take small, intentional steps toward change. Celebrate the little wins—like setting a boundary or trying something new. And remember, saying goodbye to one phase of life doesn’t mean you’re losing something; it means you’re making space for something better.
Because beyond the stuckness? That’s where the magic happens. That’s where you find out just how strong, resilient, and unstoppable you really are. So, go ahead—take that first step, say goodbye to what no longer serves you, and show the world what you’re made of.
